" Inspiring and Well-Organized Workshop!

I attended a dog photography workshop with Venture with Dogs this spring and it was an incredible experience! The workshop was thoughtfully organized, with a perfect balance of hands-on learning and creative inspiration. The guidance provided was top-notch, helping me refine my skills and gain confidence in capturing the personality and essence of each dog. The locations were stunning, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and fun.

In addition to the group workshop, I had the opportunity to participate in a one-to-one session, which was incredibly valuable. The personalized attention allowed me to dive deeper into specific areas I wanted to improve. This focused time gave me the confidence to launch dog photography as part of my current photography offerings.

I highly recommend this workshop to anyone passionate about photography and dogs—it’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss!"

" I first met Kaitlyn when she did a session for me to photograph my boxer who had just celebrated her 10th birthday. Kaitlyn was a huge help from finding the perfect setting for my girl's session to for capturing her so perfectly. My girl has since passed on and the beautiful photos that I have are something I'll cherish forever.

Fast forward a couple of years, I discovered that Kaitlyn was hosting a pet photography workshop. This is something that I've always wanted to do, but hadn't yet. When I learned that there was a bonus day of shooting in Acadia National Park I knew I couldn't pass it up so I booked my spot! I'm so happy that I did because not only did I learn a lot about photography in general, but I also went home with a lot of knowledge about running a successful business! I've already applied some of what I've learned and have been seeing great results which is awesome!

In short, if you're looking for a great photographer to capture amazing photos of your pups or if you're considering taking part in a photography workshop, I have only great things to say about Kaitlyn! She's amazing at what she does!"

F.A.Q

Can I bring my friend/SO/etc?
- Your person is welcome to come and stay with you! The educational shoots, meetings, and group meals are just for you and the workshop students. Your person is also welcomed to come to the group meals but would have to pay for their meals separately. If your person would like to be included in everything (shoots, meetings, group meals, etc), you can purchase an additional ticket for $700 as this would be taking away a spot from another photographer.

Do I have the stay at the inn?
- Nope! You're welcome to stay somewhere else nearby, just grab the ticket that doesn't include accommodations.

What will the activity level be like?
- Light to moderate! Be prepared for some light walking and/or hiking on different terrain, getting low down with the dogs or even rolling on the ground to get the perfect shot.

What are the sleeping arrangements like?
- You'll have your own bed in your own suite with a private bathroom (yay!)

Do I need prior experience in dog photography to attend?
-No prior experience is necessary! This workshop caters to photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced enthusiasts. You need a DSLR or Mirrorless camera.

What camera lens should I bring?
- I encourage bringing at least a wide angled lens and your best prime lens. Personally, I'll be teaching with my 18-35mm, 85mm, and 135mm (possibly my 70-200 too!). If you're worried about not having the "right" lens or camera, I love renting from borrowlenses.com

Will dogs be provided for the photography sessions, or should I bring my own?
-Hand picked dogs with certain skills will be available for the scheduled photography sessions. We're going to be BUSY - at this time please keep your own pup at home unless you have a partner coming with you to look after them. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the cabins, but CAN NOT be left unattended!

What happens if the weather is bad during the workshop?
-We'll aim to adapt our shooting schedule to accommodate various weather conditions. If it rains, still plan on shooting in light rain.
