Experience the joy of adventure with your pup through Venture With Dogs Photography! These photography sessions capture your dog in their natural habitat, outdoors around golden hour for the most flattering lighting. Through my unique, doggie-centered approach, you'll have tailor-made photos that capture your pup's true personality and your special bond. I put an emphasis on storytelling while I create artful portraits of your dog.
My approach to business is different - no annoying sale calls or hovering. I won't lure you in and then switch things up on you. Instead, I'm there to provide guidance, answer all of your questions, and help you make the best choices for your needs. Unlike some pet photographers, you will leave with final digital images and tangible products.

After reviewing the welcome guide, it's time to pick your package and schedule your dogs adventure session! There is a $100 retainer due at booking to reserve your dogs session. Final balance will be due on or before your session date, with pre-payment plans available.
During our consultation we'll chat all about your dog. This is your time to BRAG! I want to know everything about your dog to give them the best photo experience. Unsure about the location? I do that for you! I have 30+ hand-picked spots with beautiful scenery for you that I have found best for these shoots.
An adventure is what we make it and is completely tailored to you and your dogs needs.

planning your adventure
The big day is finally here! We'll meet in the evening during golden-hour for the best and most flattering light. With my doggie-centered approach your dogs comfort, happiness, and safety is my top priority. I come packed with treats, toys, and special tricks to get your dog to look at the camera. On or off leash, your dog will explore into guided "poses". Every session includes lifestyle and fine art portraits, action shots, doggie and me (yes you can join!) and anything in between. At the end your dog will have just felt they were outside with their best person, and had no idea there was a camera!

the adventure session
All sessions include an online gallery that you can view from the comfort of your home, without me prying over you. Smile, laugh, and cry that you finally have those dreamy portraits of your fur-babe.
Within the gallery you can view all the best edited images from our time together and download the images that came with your package.

To be honest, 80% of the dogs I photograph are on leash! My skills allow me to photograph your dog leashed, and remove the lead during my editing process to make it look like it was never even there. Your dogs safety and comfort level is always my top priority. We can still have an amazing session on leash!

does my dog have to be off leash?

Sessions take place an hour or two before sunset for the most flattering lighting. In 2024, sessions are limited to 8 clients per month. Taking on a limited amount of clients means I can give my full attention to them, and become more involved in the pet community.

Yes! I completely understand and empathize that having a professional dog photographer isn't in everyone's budget, but you still want to invest into a quality experience and photos of your dog. I offer personal payment plans (biweekly, monthly, etc) and Afterpay via Square.

I'm based out of Lisbon, Maine and I serve all areas of this wonderful state. I also happily serve and travel to New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut for sessions! Travel fees do apply if session location is further than a 25 mile radius of 04252.

Unlike other pet photographers, I include digital image downloads with all my sessions. However, I firmly believe there is a disservice if you're investing into a professional dog portrait session and then the images are not printed, or printed through an uncalibrated consumer lab (like CVS) . I offer the option to print your photos through me as I use professional quality labs all throughout the world, bringing my clients the best of the best artwork pieces!
